My smart fridge keeps ordering milk I did not ask for. It is up to 14 gallons. What do I do?
First: congratulations, you are now a dairy distributor. Second: your fridge is not haunted, it is just badly configured. Open the companion app, turn off auto-reorder, and set a spending cap. Then check who in your house keeps tapping "yes" on the restock prompt. It is almost always a toddler or a spouse. Unplug it for 30 seconds as a power move. It will remember who is boss.

Is my boss reading my Slack DMs?
Short answer: yes, probably. Long answer: on a company workspace, admins can export everything, including DMs, and most employees have no idea. Assume anything you type on a work account is being read by your manager, HR, and possibly a compliance bot with no sense of humor. Keep the spicy takes on your personal phone, keep work chat boring, and never put anything in writing you would not read aloud in an all-hands.

Should I let AI write my wedding vows?
You can, but your partner will know. AI vows have a tell: they are suspiciously well-structured, emotionally balanced, and mention "journey" three times. Here is the move the pros use: let the AI draft the outline, then rewrite every line in your own voice and add one specific, embarrassing, true story. That is the part that makes people cry. The robot cannot fake the time you got lost driving to the first date.

My phone listens to me, right? I talked about hiking boots and now I see ads for them.
Your phone is not secretly recording you 24/7. That would drain the battery and get someone sued into oblivion. What is actually happening is sneakier: your location data, search history, purchase history, and the hiking blog your friend sent you all fed the ad algorithm, and it guessed correctly. Which is honestly worse. Go to your phone settings, turn off ad personalization and background app refresh for the worst offenders, and accept that the algorithm knows you better than your therapist.
